The University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) is a mandatory basic health care plan for international students at Ontario universities. This coverage offers benefits similar to those of the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), but excludes prescription drug and dental coverage. Any amount deposited to the student account will be applied to the UHIP, then to tuition fees and finally to ancillary fees.

If payment is not made on time, a late fee will be applied on the last day of the first month of the term, based on the student’s balance.
