A New Academic Year Focused on the Safety of the University Community

We’re excited about Université de l’Ontario français (UOF)’s inaugural year, and we know you are too. Due to the current situation with COVID-19 and following public health recommendations, physical access to the UOF campus at 9 Lower Jarvis Street prioritizes the health, safety and well-being of the university community above all else.

The following is a summary of the steps to access the campus in compliance with local public health guidelines and the UOF health guidelines Ce lien s'ouvrira dans une nouvelle fenêtre(as of September 1, 2021 available only in French).

If You Are Vaccinated

1.     Please submit your complete proof of vaccination to ramatou.barry@uontario.ca Ce lien s'ouvrira dans une nouvelle fenêtre(Director of Human Resources and Talent Development).

You can download your proof of vaccination on the Ontario Ministry of Health website ( Ce lien s'ouvrira dans une nouvelle fenêtrehttp://covid19.ontariohealth.ca/ Ce lien s'ouvrira dans une nouvelle fenêtre) if you have an Ontario Health Card Number.

2.    The University will review the proof of complete vaccination and confirm whether you meet the requirements to access the campus.

3.     You must complete a COVID-19 symptom self-assessment form called HealthQ (https://uof.joinhealthq.com/ Ce lien s'ouvrira dans une nouvelle fenêtre) each day you go to campus.

The result of the self-assessment form must be presented, either on your phone or a printed version, to the staff at the entrance of the campus. It will also be possible to fill out the form on a device provided on-site at the campus entrance.

4.      You must complete and sign an attendance sheet upon arrival on campus.

5.      While on campus, you must follow all Public Health guidelines including wearing a surgical mask, hand washing and physical distancing. One surgical mask per day will be provided by UOF upon request.

 

If You Are Not Vaccinated

1.    You may apply for an exemption from vaccination for medical reasons or other reasons recognized by the Ontario Human Rights Code. You must send your written exemption request, including supporting documentation, to ramatou.barry@uontario.ca Ce lien s'ouvrira dans une nouvelle fenêtre(Director of Human Resources and Talent Development).

2.      The University will review your exemption request and confirm whether you meet the requirements to access the campus.

3.       If your exemption request is granted, you will be required to submit a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours each time you wish to access the campus.

4.       You must complete a COVID-19 symptom self-assessment form called HealthQ (https://uof.joinhealthq.com/ Ce lien s'ouvrira dans une nouvelle fenêtre) each day you go to campus.
